Exhibitor Forum at Fruit Logistica 2019 will highlight Latin America and Brazil

For almost ten years, the Bayer Exhibitor Forum has been a popular event at Fruit Logistica. Each year, experts from across the value chain address developments in the food production of a specific country or region. The Exhibitor Forum at Fruit Logistica 2019 will focus on the importance of collaboration to tackle the challenges in agriculture in Latin America, with a closer look at Brazil.

Latin America is a major producer of fruits and vegetables consumed by people around the globe. In 2015, for example, the European Union alone imported 7.4 million tons of fruits and vegetables from this part of the world. The biggest producer of agricultural products in Latin America is Brazil – producing 44 million tons of fruit per year!

So far, there have been 65 Food Chain Partnership initiatives in Latin America – most of them in Brazil, with 13 initiatives. At Fruit Logistica 2019, Bayer will showcase these successful collaborations with our partners and highlight the unique challenges of producers, processors, and retailers.

The title of the Exhibitor Forum is Food Chain Partnership in Latin America – Working together across the value chain in Brazil. Paul Williams, Managing Partner at Paul Williams & Associates, will be the moderator once again, with the following speakers confirmed for the panel:

“Brazil will make a great topic at the Exhibitor Forum, and it’s an excellent platform to point out the many successful initiatives with our partners,” says Cristiane Lourenço, Food Chain & Sustainability Manager at Bayer Brazil. “And I’m really happy about the speakers from such important companies joining us on stage and providing unique insights into food production in Latin America and Brazil.”

The Reception, taking place immediately after the Exhibitor Forum at the Bayer booth, will shine in the colors of Brazil – celebrating years of successful cross-industry partnerships, including authentic Brazilian music and cuisine.
