Getting connected to the food value chain is now easier than ever before! Bayer and the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) are rolling out BayG.A.P. as an online training program in three different languages. Everyone interested in gaining knowledge about good agricultural practices – sign up now!
For farmers of all sizes and from around the world it’s essential to demonstrate that they’ve implemented sustainable farming standards so that they can successfully market their produce. By training farmers in good agricultural practices, the BayG.A.P. Service Program supports farmers in getting connected to the food value chain.
BayG.A.P. online training in cooperation with IICA
The Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) and Bayer will offer BayG.A.P. as open online training courses for anyone interested in learning more about good agricultural practices. The courses will start on August 14, 2019. The Portuguese version will be open for two months at first and both the Spanish and English versions will initially be open for four months.
In interactive training sessions with exercises, participants can learn more about integrated pest management, waste and pollution management, safe use of crop protection products, pollinator safety, and much more. At the end of the training, participants take a final exam – and those who pass can then download a certificate, attesting their new knowledge of good agricultural practices.
Special features for Portuguese training course
The Portuguese version of the online training – which has been developed in cooperation with the Brazilian Association of Supermarkets (ABRAS), PariPassu, Santa Catarina Association of Supermarkets (ACATS), and the Agricultural Research and Rural Extension Company of Santa Catarina (EPAGRI) – will have a special treat: explanatory videos for each module, with experts from different organizations guiding the participants through all the sessions.
