Agriculture is key to the development of the Americas
The Inter American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) is an institution committed to agricultural development and rural well-being. In this interview, Manuel Otero, Director General of IICA, talks about his vision for the Americas.
The Inter American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture was created 75 years ago and has a very strong presence in the Americas. Its primary purpose is to provide technical cooperation to assist farmers in overcoming obstacles that limit sectoral development in every country of the region. Manuel Otero presides over the organization. In this interview he talks about the critical role that agriculture must play and what is required to achieve progress.
