Counting on safe food
There are lots of ways to buy fruits and vegetables. You can get them at the grocery store, online, at the farmers’ market, or at a local roadside stand. But still consumers worry about food safety and things like pesticide residue.
As a Food Chain and Sustainability Manager with Bayer in the United States, Jenny Maloney works with farmers, food processors, grocery retailers, and others involved in the food journey from farm to plate. That is why she knows how hard they work every day to ensure healthy, high-quality, affordable, and safe food. Just because a pesticide residue is detected on a fruit or vegetable does not mean it is unsafe.
