Understanding the food we eat

In a world of unlimited information, understanding where your food comes from, how it is produced, and what you should eat has become an overwhelming process. So, what do the labels on your food really mean?

It’s rather difficult to understand what the multitude of labels with often unfamiliar terms on our food really mean. Labels serve a variety of purposes; some are for safety while others market to certain values and beliefs. The good news is that there is a ton of great information about how your food is grown – and we should be relieved to know that there are institutions in place to assure our health and safety.
